Hesco Flood Control Barrier Sand Filled Gabion Wall is one modern welded gabion basket which can be filled with sand, earth, gravel, aggregates, rubble, bricks, even some fine sediment, etc.
Hesco defensive barriers are widely used for explosion-proof against attacks from rifle bullets, shell fragments, rocket propelled grenade round. It is also used for flood control in cities, so its another name is hesco flood control barrier.
In both military sand security applications the military barrier affords protection from small arms fire right up to VBIEDs and artillery. Gabion mesh cages are used for river bank and scour protection, channel linings for erosion control, and embankment stability. They are filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures to promote rapid growth of natural vegetation. The base section of the Gabion box is divided into compartments and filled with stones at the project site. With lids secured, Gabion box form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures.
